The client wanted a WordPress site so that they could maintain the site themselves, They often need to post articles in PDF format, change images and maps, and update text. With their previous CSS/HTML-driven site, they were very dependent on their previous designer/programmer.
This theme allowed me to keep some of the nice, bold design elements of their previous site. They were not interested in a new re-design. Stretching the top header image across the top of the page made the client very happy. I was also able to make the main menu look very similar to their old site’s menu by using CSS and applying similar colors.
Using a sidebar plugin, helped me to keep the look of a main, separate area/side bar image that they had on their previous site.
After I provided a few hours of phone training, the clients are now able to make most of the changes themselves.
